Got a great idea for a new local channel, or want to tell us about a subchannel not on the left? Tell us about it!The best just got better and will continue to with the future of TV. The advent of digital television has revolutionized free, local TV viewing, presenting you with more choices than ever before through additional digital channels. You can even access more of the same great content through your favorite station's website.
Let's face it, times are changing. That's why it's more important than ever to access the great programming on broadcast TV you love when you need it and where you want it. The future of TV is your favorite shows at your fingertips, whether you're in your living room, at the coffee shop with your laptop or on the train with your smartphone.
Choices for viewers have never been greater. When local TV stations began broadcasting with digital signals in 2009, it allowed them the flexibility to offer more channels for viewers. These are known as "sub-channels" or "side channels" and will be indicated as such on your TV. For example, if the digital TV channel is 53, then its sub-channels might be 53.1, 53.2 and 53.3 and they can each carry different programming. This allows your local TV station to offer specialty programming such as foreign language programming, all-weather, all-sports and more! Below is just a sampling of what local stations are doing with their digital sub-channels. And these are available for free with an antenna. Click the logos below for more information.
